If you think the tank dents easily, just wait until the first time you drop the front fender. Mine was off, getting ready for a repaint, when it fell off the patio table onto the bricks below. Talk about a wicked dent. As for changing the spark plug, mine will stay in until it just won't fire anymore. As for removing the tank, if the scratches on the frame bother you, get some black brush-on touch up paint. Once the tank is back on, cover the scratch. End of problem.

PS: I'm starting to think again that the Savage was not a very well thought out design. Anything you need to do to it is a royal pain in the butt. I think I WILL HD tank mine, after I either put the motor in a Big Twin frame, or put a 4" down tube/3" backbone stretch in the stock frame. Definitely would be easier to work on, and look more chopperesque for Alfred and Soju Dave to drool about.
